My girlfriend and I stayed here on May 30 2019 for one night. I payed $93.22 for one night. The layout of the hotel is more like a motel than a hotel where you enter your room from the outside. We were on the second floor and I did not see an elevator for persons with disabilities. I thought the room was average but it did have an refrigerator. The hotel is close to many attractions and restaurants. I payed $93.22 for one night. The breakfast area didn't have enough seating and felt cramped but there is tables outside to sit and eat. The breakfast is average but not a lot of choices to choose from. I liked the location and the quietness of the hotel. I would stay here again but if I were in the area I think I might try another

Huge Bathroom, room is average.
The value of this place is it's location directly across the street from the Monterey County Fairgrounds. This is a basic clean motel. The TV is limited. There are the news channels (FOX and CNN), sports (ESPN, ESPN2), and local networks, with a few movie channels. They do not get HGTV, which is my "radio" when I'm working in the room. I loved the bathroom - there is one sink, however, the counter is huge, and both of us were able to get ready in the morning w/o feeling cramped. I loved the lighting. There were lamps as well as recessed lighting. No squinting the eyes. The breakfast was a bit lame, but adequate. Cold cereal, fruit (bananas, apples, oranges), pastries, but no "hot" food. There is coffee/decaf/hot water in the lobby, however, the lobby closes at 11pm. This is frustrating, as a hotel has a business center 24/7 where I can work and print late into the night or early in the morning. Also, they rather lecture you when you check-in about NO pets and NO smoking. This is a given, and they could be nicer about it (I'm 60 years old and don't look like a kid). On a side note, unless you request it, they do not clean your room but every three days. If you want strong internet, ask for a room in the 130's. :

Nice place to stay while visiting Monterey
This motel allows easy access to the wharf, aquarium, downtown, and a major shopping center. The room we had was in the very front and looked nothing like the photos on-line. I think it is a one-off conversion of the old manager's residence. It was a very nice room with a bedroom area, hallway and bath in the back. There is a patio, small bar/sink area, and even an electric fireplace. The breakfast was well stocked typical Comfort Inn fare in a somewhat small room with 4-5 tables. The front desk staff was very polite and friendly. Parking is in front of your room with all rooms having outside doors, not enclosed hallways. We will stay here again

This Comfort Inn is our place to stay when in Monterey. You can park right in front of your room to unload your luggage and shopping, plenty of places to eat near by and very helpful staff. The breakfast is perfect and check outs are always seamless. Thanks again, Ken N
