The Monterey Bay Half Marathon is a USATF‑certified coastal half-marathon that showcases California’s central shoreline with an out-and-back course starting in downtown Monterey and running along historic Cannery Row before hugging the Pacific Grove coastline. The mostly flat route offers ocean views and frequent marine wildlife sightings, and it finishes at the Finish Village in Custom House Plaza where finishers are celebrated with music and an awards ceremony. The event also features the Ocean View Challenge option, which links the Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K with the half marathon for participants who complete both races.
